the baskerville-vessalius wedding.
duchess baskervilleₒ

Today had been a day long in the making, and many people had had a hand in it. The mansion's grand ballroom was as elegant as it had ever been, decorated as it was for a Baskerville wedding. The doors had all been flung open onto the balcony outside, and stairs led down into what would be the reception area afterward. With spring in the air and the gardens blooming, the tables had been set up on the grounds outside. Everything was surprisingly perfect, considering the habits of the mansion's Will; perhaps she, too, was looking forward to the wedding.

[ ooc; i'll set up several threads, sort of like the pandora meeting post. also lmao short post sorry guys. post away! ]

[At the edge of the dance floor, a mother and daughter stand in matching gowns delicate and lovely as a pair of china dolls. They speak softly among themselves, apparently quite enjoying the spectacle presented by those already out on the floor.]

[ooc: for anyone who'd like a dance with Shelly or does_not_age

[He was perfectly happy at the edge of the room when Shelly spotted him and marched over to drag him toward the dance floor.]

L-Lady Shelly--!

X-D I was gonna tag your thread down there, but this works!

[Shelly gives him a bright smile--completely at odds with the wickedly mischievous gleam in her eyes.]

Come, now, Mr. Lunettes, surely such a fine young gentleman would not deny a lady a dance, would he?

I figured he'd need to be dragged to the dance floor anyway~

[Liam sees both, and he cannot deny her--he never has been able to. She looks so happy. But he does admit,]

You may want to put your hand on my elbow, rather than my shoulder.

Ah, of course.

[She does so, a small thread of concern finding its way into her expression.]

How, are you healing?

[He leads her out onto the dance floor.]

Quite well, Lady Shelly. The shoulder was the worst of it; Xerxes said it will take a while to get it back to full strength. It's still sore, but it's manageable.

[Shelly smiles, falling into step.]

I'm glad to hear it. Been keeping away from Baskervilles as well, I hope...

[He nods--a lie, of course, because he's not going to worry her with his encounter with Glen.]

Ah, Xerxes may have told you that I encountered Bandersnatch, but fortunately with his help we reached an agreement, and I haven't seen him since. It happened right after I regained Hare.

[Although his leg is only recently healed, the slash was mostly surface level and he isn't limping anymore.]
